God is still in the prayer-answering business, in case you were wondering. We were unloading the truck on Saturday afternoon, and had gorgeous weather consisting of blue, sunny skies and mid-50s temperature; less than 24 hours later—after the U-Haul had been completely unloaded, and everything was safely inside—we had a beautiful winter landscape. Beautiful, yes, but certainly not ideal for unloading furniture! We had prayed and asked God to keep the winter weather at bay until we had the truck unloaded and everything secure; Saturday afternoon (before this photo was snapped), the skies grew very gray and overcast, and there was a noticeable drop in temperature. We were still trying to unload the truck (at the storage building), and I was concerned that we might get caught unloading the rest of the stuff at the parsonage in a snow storm; I simply asked God to give us nice weather until everything was unloaded and inside. I didnt howl and moan and wail and cut myself with stones; I simply said, Jesus, You hold the atmosphere and the weather in Your Hands; they move and obey as you tell them. Please give us nice weather, and help us get this stuff unloaded and inside, and keep the snow away until were done. He did. Its good to know we can talk to the One who holds the weather in His Hands. What an awesome God!
