God sent many angels to help Ee Hooi. One is a lady called Vanessa Khoo. She was an invited guest. She sang to fund raise for Ee Hoois proposed stem cell treatment. Vanessa did well to bring awareness to Ee Hoois plight (a sodium overdose called Central Pontine Mylelynosis). Ee Hooi went to Phor Tay primary school (which he later return to teach for awhile), Chung Ling Boys High School (one of the top schools in Penang) and then Merhodist Boys School. Vanessa was Ee Hoois classmate at Methodist Boys School. This explanation is necessary so non Malaysian knows a little of the background. Ee Hooi was unfortunately to be disable by sodium overdose. He suffer severe neurological consequences and was bed ridden for many years. Thank God to dedicated parents, brothers and relatives he walks today. But the neurological damages are permanent unless stem cell can reverse it. Prognosis is otherwise poor. He is severely disable needing 24 hour care and can no longer speak or use his arms and hands.
