Going to New Market 150th this weekend? Skip the hardtack for lunch and check out the new SVBF cafe! Valley Foundation Café Coming To New Market NEW MARKET, Va. — The Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation (SVBF) and long-time coffee partner Cabin Creek Roaster are joining to open Jackson’s Corner Coffee and Wine Café at the foundation’s historic Lee-Jackson Building in downtown New Market. The café will have a “soft” opening for the 150th Anniversary Battle of New Market reenactment on May 17, with a full opening shortly thereafter. It will feature coffees, pastries and beverages, with soups, sandwiches and SVBF wines soon to follow. The café will be on one side of SVBF’s Lee-Jackson Orientation Center, directly connected to the visitor information area and the gift shop/lounge. The café and gift shop area will both display SVBF merchandise, books and other wares. Wireless Internet access will be available. A flat-screen television will show SVBF videos on land preservation, Valley military actions, and battlefields the foundation has preserved, along with a news feed. The SVBF’s Lee-Jackson Interpretation and Education Gallery will be housed on the other side of the Orientation Center. shenandoahatwar.org/About-Us/Lee-Jackson-Building/Jackson-s-Corner-Cafe
