Good Afternoon/Morning Everyone, Yesterday was a sad but - TopicsExpress

Good Afternoon/Morning Everyone, Yesterday was a sad but redeeming day for me as I continued to protest for the release of my Marine brother Andrew Tahmooressi. After receiving some negative commentary from a few UCLA students who were not in support of my cause, I decided to up the ante, and protest in a greater magnitude. At UCLAs home game versus Utah-which we unfortunately lost-I blind-folded and cuffed myself while also wearing a bright orange t-shirt displaying TAHMOORESSI on the backside, and on the front, #BringBackOurMarine. As I made my way up and down the columns of the famous Rose Bowl Coliseum, I became the topic of conversation. I heard drunken laughter, Is that guy rushing, haha?, chastising and shouting, What the f#%K dude, are you kidding me?, and of course the endless and overwhelming whispers and mumbling in the background. A couple of sweet and gentle females helped escort me around the orgy of drunken teens and frat boys who often shouted obscenities for no apparent reason- Go f#^K yourselves, F-You Utah!, Haha, f#*king mormons, go back to Utah!-and when I was escorted out and questioned by one of the security staff, she replied, I think it is brave what you are doing. Luckily for me I was not kicked out of the game, I just had to take off the blindfold and handcuffs. On the way back to the student section a few of the crowd members reached out and complimented me on my demonstration. And of course, a few of the females were very curious as to who I was-I guess its perks of the job. All-in-all I was able to get the word out, but I am not done yet. As 0-week comes to an end, I will continue to protest during Week One. I appreciate all of you, friends and family, who have at least been paying attention. Love, Michael. #BringBackOurMarine #Tahmooressi
