Good Evening CASSmates. I was privileged today to, together with the Provost, meet with three of our faculty presidents, Social Sciences, Business School and Art Faculty to deliberate on matters affecting students in the college. Amongst the issues raised and discussed was the need to complement ourselves in our dealings as faculties to ensure a harmonous relationship accross the college and further strengthen student-lecturer relationships. Secondly, matters bothering on internships and attachment and an agreement was reached to ensure an abolition of the payment of money for attachment letters next year. Business school was also assured of a solution to the transport problem, as Art Faculty relocation hovers around. We aslo agreed to have a framework that will help departments put the 10% AFUF to a use beneficial to students. We also discussed the need to dwell on the enormous talents available in the college to execute our projects. This is part of our broader efforts to buid brotherly relations amongst faculties that have tasted the bitter pill of divisions in the past.
