Good Morning Everyone, I dont know if anyone saw the status i posted yesterday but i want to share my experience withh all you doxies owners. The last couple days Voodoo has been very ill. For the first day we thought he was constipated. Unfortunatly yesterday we have to rush him to the vet because he lost control over his legs... After much crying, worrying, speaking to the vet, xrays and muxh much more Dr.D at Sunrise told us something no doxie parents ever want to hear.. Voodoo has a calsified disc in his back.... At this point it has not ruptured which means he does not require back surgery... But it is going to be a looming possibility for the rest of his life. He has been put on anti inflamitories for his current pain. What i do want to share is the advice the doctors have us.. Omega 6 fatty acids and glucosamine and chondriton are two thinhs that could literally save your dogs back. If you dont give these already it is highly recomended. He also told us that spine impacting activities like jumping off the bed ahould be avoided.. Voodoo is doing OK in his current state but is still feeling alot of pain.
