Good Morning Peeps! I use to have cars, houses, diamonds and cash? All the riches in the world that people would consider security, yet there was no security in this materialism because they were just items to fill a void. We sometimes think that if we have a new car we will feel important and successful? Sometimes we will feel if we have the best house on the block our neighbors will envy our green grass? Sometimes we wear diamonds as big as rocks around our neck sparkling in the moonlight? Sometimes we have money to throw away on the best food, the best boats, and the best entertainment? Yes, sometimes this materialism will cause us to think that we are successful as human beings. But if we search deep down within our soul these are only temporary fillers for the emptiness in your heart. We think if we fill our life with these items and things everyone would glance our way and say, “Look how successful Mr. Smith is he has the best of everything”? But you are fooling no one because we see the empty void in your heart as you cry at night. Who am I? Where do I belong? Does anyone love me beyond words? Will my family and friends miss me if I die? These are the thoughts that spin around in your head as you lie in the dark. Always questioning? Always wondering? Always feeling unloved? But let me share a little secret with you these cars, houses, diamonds, and cash mean nothing unless you realize without your family and friends to share your wealth in materialism you will stand alone in the dark feeling an empty void. The void that you experience is the hole in your heart… because your heart longs to be filled with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Our heart longs to fill up with these attributes to fill that void. But until we are quiet and listen instead of keeping busy we can hear that still small voice within our soul longing to be free.
