Good afternoon, Usually I have something funny to say, but today a lil more on the serious side of me. Not a Saint, Trying Not To Be a Sinner Everyday!! Its about being WATCHFULNESS, not falling into temptation. We have to pray and watch what the that Lord has put before us. The word WATCHFULNESS is a fundamental principle of Christs Warriors. You see, as a Christian Warrior, we cant dare to be asleep at our posts. just like the military has trained myself and millions of others. Such a lapse brings us under displeasure of the Captain of Salvation, but exposes us to added danger. We are compelled to constant guard duty. We are faced with an enemy who never sleeps, who is always alert and who is ever prepared to take advantage of the fortunes of war. We must realize the importance to watching and praying always because our enemy prowls around like a hungry lion. In the New TESTAMENT, the word watch is used three times by Paul, with different meanings. The first meansABSENCE of SLEEP and implies a wakeful frame of mind. The second meaning to be FULLY AWAKE, through our CARELESSNESS or LAZINESS, something horrible could suddenly happen. The third means to be CALM and COLLECTED IN SPIRIT, cautious against ALL pitfalls and distractions. Everything resembling unpreparedness or non-vigilance is death to prayer. Prayer and Supplication must strengthen the armor of God. The Holy Spirit must aid the supplication with His own zealous plea. In this, as in all other forms of warfare, eternal vigilance is the price of victory. Heavenly Father, make me watchful and perseverant through the help of your spirit to be a Christian Warrior whom depends greatly on my prayers to you. AMEN
