Good evening to all! I hope you are having a wonderful summer break. I just returned from a week vacation with my family and wanted to squash a few rumors I have heard as well as share some news. First, I would like to say that I hope you have enough trust in me to come right to me when there are any questions. I appreciate those who have as it is the easiest way to get the definitive message and to help take are of any undue anxiety. That being said, Ms. Nichols has left St. Mary. She needed a job that was closer to her home and she has found one. We are, of course, sad that she is not returning, but when every door closes another opens. We appreciate the opportunities we have at St. Mary, and this is just another example of the Holy Spirit working wonders. Mr. Missig will be moving to 4th grade next year. He has spent quite a bit of time in the upper grades and is very much looking forward to the opportunity to teach in the 4th grade. He has a very similar teaching style to Mrs. OConnell and so I believe he will be a wonderful fit. We have hired an absolutely awesome teacher to replace Mr. Missig in the first grade classroom and I could not be happier with the way this has worked out. Mr. Grima has taken a job with The Nutrition Group as Food Service Director. This is a job that fits him like a glove! He will be continuing his passion for nutrition in schools on a much larger scale. God has great plans for him! We will miss his smiling face at school but know that this is an amazing opportunity for him and we are so happy! Mrs. Grima continues to sit on the School Advisory Council and Isabelle will be in the 8th grade at St. Mary this year. Another rumor I have been hearing is that we are combining classes. I want to tell you that there are NO plans to combine classes at St. Mary Rockwood. As mentioned, please come directly to me with any questions, comments or concerns you may have. Rumors and gossip will only break us down at a time when we are finally strengthening! You can also call or text my mobile beginning on Monday, July 21. The number is 734-277-8789. God Bless all of you. Thank you for making our school the wonderful place it continues to be. We are looking forward to another amazing school year. Please keep an eye out for an email in the next few weeks discussing times and dates to pick up iPads prior to the beginning of the school year. Thank you again, and enjoy the next few weeks! We will be back in school before you know it! Theresa Stager Principal St. Mary Rockwood
