Good evidence. The notion that God is unknowable (and unutterable) - TopicsExpress

Good evidence. The notion that God is unknowable (and unutterable) is a strange and ancient one. Jesus however taught that HE is knowable... and we can have a direct and personal relationship with The Messiah - God incarnate and risen. We are told that the character we behold through Christ is as the Father. They are one. However, Islam teaches Allah is UN-knowable.... only known through a third person (prophet). Personally, I would stick with the name Jesus Christ which can be spoken, than retreat to the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) which we are told is unutterable (and by a great irony, becomes a form of strange idol / symbol of power, as used in many circles of occultic works). No one knows Hebrew perfectly today... we have to trust God wasnt lying when His Word states And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.. We must trust that God was capable of communicating the Word to all nations (which speak different tongues after Babel as was the plan of God). We must trust that God wouldnt trick us by having the name Jesus Christ have no power, as many in the HRM would claim. Ultimately, when you follow the HRM logic to its final conclusion, it requires one to deny the Deity of The Messiah. We are told we shall know God through Christ. We must not be tricked into believing that God is unknowable, or that God will not accept us unless we speak in old Hebrew, or that He will reject us if we use titles and names for Him in our own language. My name in Spanish is Pablo. I wouldnt be angry nor offended if Spanish people called me Pablo in their naive language... Id be impressed! God is far more just than me... so why do people think He would be so enraged if people call Him by the English translation Jesus Christ. And no, Jesus does not mean Hey, Zeus!, like many claim :) https://youtube/watch?v=39-dhelsPbY&feature=youtu.be
