Good morning FB family and friends-I woke up this morning feeling so renewed in my spirit. On yesterday I had the opportunity to fellowship with the women in my church, Citadel of Hope Mission. Truly I was blessed by the word my sister LaRonda gave which was on Modeling in Todays World where she made you take a look at your life and ask yourself What is it that people see when they see me? In other words, what type of role model am I? You know as women of God we tend to forget that we are to be role models for not only our own children but also the society that we live in. People pay attention to not only what you say, but theyre watching what you do :-) During one of our breakout sessions my mom, Minister Vinni West made a great point as well, she said you know people say they dont want to accept salvation out of fear that they will have to give up so much, but the truth is all youre giving up is the bad things you used to do (in other words you only have to give up the wicked ways of the world). Being a child of God is the greatest advantage in life that you can have! ;-) Then my oldest sister Michele West-dormevil blessed us with an original dramatic reading (mini skit) where she brought out just how phenomenal we are as women. How we hold so many titles and juggle so many responsibilities and yet we manage to still stand tall and hold our ground :-) When I tell yall I was truly blessed yesterday I mean it!! So many women shared their testimonies, and we ALL have a testimony of overcoming :-) For those that could but didnt make it, you guys really did miss out! I am looking forward to our next Womens Table Talk in the winter... I will give you all a heads up when the date approaches ;-) Be blessed, stay encouraged because God is always in control, and remember as women (especially Women of God) we are to be role models. So make sure your walk and talk matches up! :-)
