Good morning, Quite a cloudy start across the country this morning with some showery rain across parts of SE England, NI and Scotland. Elsewhere conditions will remain cloudy with the odd spot of light rain and drizzle in some areas, although there will be a few isolated sunny spells at times. As the morning progresses the band of showery rain in NI & Scotland will progress south-eastwards into N & NW England, Wales and SW England, bringing outbreaks of showery rain here. In behind the band of rain across Scotland & NI conditions will improve with plenty of sunny spells around, although there will be a risk of a few isolated showers a times and it will feel much fresher. Elsewhere across England conditions will generally remain cloudy with a few showers around, particularly across the SE. The cloud cover will break at times to allow a few sunny spells. During the afternoon the band of showery rain in the west will gradually edge south-eastwards, however, it will start to weaken as it does so, with showery rain becoming more isolated. That said one or two showers may still pack a punch across parts of SW England, the Midlands and parts of S & E Yorkshire. Further south across central southern England and the SE, we may see some sunny spells breaking through the cloud cover at times, although there will still be a risk of a shower or two. Across NI, Scotland & N England, conditions will remain fine with plenty of sunny spells around, although across N England there will be a little more cloud cover around. Across parts of Western Scotland there will be a risk of one or two showers developing. Temperatures across the southern half of the UK will range from 16°c - 20°c, feeling fresher across the north with highs ranging from 10°c – 15°c Have a wonderful day, Stuart.
