Good morning beautiful people, It is a new week and a new day - a new opportunity to take the bull by the horn. I am very pleased at the recent statistics of new small and medium scale businesses springing up in the country and this gives me joy because the youths have decided to not sit at home anticipating jobs but instead are participating in the job creation process. This action, in itself, actually satisfies the part of the definition of democracy government by the people. Great job and welcome to governance. The best economies around the world are self sufficient economies that engage in local and internal economic activities ranging from production, service delivery, and sale/resale of consumer goods enough for local consumption followed by exportation of the excess. It will please you to note that over 90 percent of these economic activities are carried out by small to medium scale businesses. On the flip side too, over 90 percent of the businesses engaging in these activities are small to medium scale businesses. To get our dear country to the promise point, we must therefore continue to pursue excellence, relentlessly, in ourselves and then create the opportunities we want to utilize. To export, we must first produce. To run, we must first walk. To reap we must first sow. We must leave our beds early, we must work hard in the days of our youth, while we still have the strength so that we can pride ourselves as being the generation that effected change in Nigeria. Many opportunities still exist in Nigeria. Alot of these opportunities exist in the smaller cities we all run away from. We must identify these opportunities and explore them. In business, the first mover has an advantage that translates into continous business success year in year out. Start small and get big quietly, but, you must first, start. I urge us this Monday morning to go about our activities with a get it done attitude and GET THINGS DONE, without, ofcourse, cutting corners. Begin now to invest in your future because now is the right time. Happy and prosperous week ahead! God bless us all!
