Good morning good and intelligent people, i woke up this morning - TopicsExpress

Good morning good and intelligent people, i woke up this morning and came across a statement on the social media signed by Sina Kawonise the immediate past commissioner for information and orientation in Ogun State asking the Amosun government to kindly tell the good people of Ogun State in precisely manner the frivolity in the posers raised by Otunba Gbenga Daniel. In my own personal capacity, i will kindly tell the good people of Ogun State in precise manner the frivolities in the posers raised by OGD below: 1. That the road projects embarked upon by the Amosun governments are mostly misplaced priorities. THE FRIVOLITY: It is very sad to hear from someone like Sina Kawonise who was part of the government that ran the infrastructure of this state into a state of comatose trying to defend this statement. i think the past administration should be reminded that in the three senatorial districts, they can not boast of a single road in each senatorial district that was constructed by them that is standing the test of time. Do they want to talk about the abandoned Ilisan - Ago iwoye dualisation which this administration is currently reconstructing? Do they want to talk about the Sagamu - Abeokuta road construction which started failing right before the construction got to 50% and which a sum of N500m was budgeted annually for the maintenance of the newly constructed road? Do they want to talk about the less than 1km lalubu road which was done by patching one lane on both sides and two portions craving in, one opposite shalom mega stores and the second just few steps after my kitchen? If OGD had said the road projects by the Amosun government is misplaced then i will ask if this government should leave the Ilo Awela road which his administration constructed which was washed away by rain in less than 6 months? Should Amosun leave the Ilisan Ago Iwoye road which was abandoned by him? Should Amosun leave the Abeokuta township roads which was ravaged by flood in 2008 and 2010 leading to loss of lives and property in areas like omida, sokori, olorunsogo and idi aba to mention a few? Should Amosun neglect the 32km Sango - Ojodu road which the past administration didnt touch in their 8 year rule? Should Amosun stop the ongoing construction of the 107km ilara - ilase road which will open 4 local governments to agriculture in Yewa land? Should Amosun neglect Sagamu where OGD came from by not constructing the most important major road there with a flyover bridge? Should Amosun also build lock up shops in the bushes in Sagamu and Owode which have been overtaken by wild animals and neglect the reconstruction of urban markets in omida, sapon and Itoku? Or is OGD blaming SIA for lifting communities with 500 transformers? Is OGD blaming SIA for investing over N4bn in the security of this state with the purchase of 13 APCs and over 200 patrol vans? Is OGD blaming SIA for renovating schools and constructing model schools which was last done in 2008..... and many more??? OGD should define urban renewal and ways to effect it the way he did for 8 years! lanrebanjo/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=121:the-failed-governor-by-the-news&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 2. That the costs of the road projects are grossly inflated and beyond all known parameters of public work costing. THE FRIVOLITY: If OGD had claimed that the projects are grossly inflated, i would suggest he gives us corresponding projects that he did at his own cost and specifications? Is OGD suggesting we shouldnt pay compensations for demolished structures? Maybe OGD should give us the cost of the sokori brigde which he constructed and collapsed twice? In 2006, the Daniel administration commissioned Isashi Road with fanfare. In less than six months, the road failed, can OGD give us the cost of that road compared to the kind of road we have now? In 2007, Ayawoele Road that connects Ajuwon to Alagbole was also tarred. The road is already failing. For years, Akute Junction, a flood-prone portion, tortured motorists with its wide crater. Complaints about this were ignored until last January, when the Ogun State Road Maintanance Agency, OGROMA, moved in to effect repairs. The road was provided with an underground drainage channel for deflooding. The crater was also filled and a sweet-looking roundabout built. But that was as good as it got. When officials of the agency returned to complete the job, what the users of the road got was a wafer-thin layer of tar, which is sure to be quickly washed off by the rains. can OGD tell us what happened here? THE COST OF THE ROAD AND WHY IT FAILED? If OGD says the model schools are inflated at N1bn for that size and structure, can he please justify the the N1bn spent on the sagamu lock up shops and N1bn owode lock up shops called international market as far back in 2005??? Can he justify a trailer park of that size which cost us N1.5bn far back in 2005? and many more... 3. That the Amosun Government should explain to our people why it has failed to prosecute those arrested and detained in connection with the murder of Otunba Dipo Dina. FRIVOLITY: When did the Amosun government assume the position of the police and the court of law? Did the state government issue any official statement hindering the police. Like Amosun wrote in the condolence register of the late DINA, the killers and their generations will never know peace. 4. That the Amosun government should explain the circumstances surrounding the loss to Lagos state of the $8 billion Refinery project by the Dangote group earlier slated for Ogun Waterside LG. How does the $200 million investment by Procter and Gamble compensate for this huge loss caused by the negative disposition of the Amosun government? Or would the government claim ignorant that the land on which the factory of the Procter and Gamble is being built was allocated to it by the OGD government? And as it is common knowledge, the Dangote Cement factory commissioned shortly after the inception of the Amosun government was already being test-run even before OGD left office as Governor. THE FRIVOLITY: Any sane businessman would move his refinery away when the proposed LNG failed. This is purely a FG affair. States do not grant licences for such projects. How can the OGD government blame SIA for the failure of the FG, SHELL and CHEVRON PROJECT which was initiated even before SIA became the Governor by the former president OBJ? This is what Dangote wants to tap from by building a refinery there which in real would really be lovely but SIA is not FG and OGD should stop twisting facts. The OKLNG project company was formed in 2007 by NNPC, BG, Chevron and Shell. BG and Shell withdrew from the project in June 2012 and July 2013, respectively. “The NNPC was duly informed of Chevron’s decision to withdraw and the divestment process is being managed in accordance with the provisions of the shareholders’ agreement governing the project,” the statement added. punchng/business/business-economy/chevron-confirms-withdrawal-from-olokola-lng-project/ On procter and gamble, it shows the success of companies under this administration is giving you headache. Allocation of land is what you are concerned about while SIA is concerned about putting the necessary infrastructures in place for the commencement of these comapnies. If OGD had allocated land and these people did not commence operation then we should ask why. Dont they have the money? NO! SECURITY, GOOD ROADS, POWER... thats SIAs mission and not allocation of land Its also surprising that you want to take glory of Dangote cement factory which as a matter of fact, moves for the commencement of that cement factory was initiated before the Bisi Onabanjo regime. The FG much later during the OBJ regime got it into reality via Dangote. Did OGD allocate the lime stone deposit again when minerals are on the FGs exclusive list? 5. That Local Government administration has been paralyzed in Ogun State as virtually all the local governments in the state have nothing significant to show as developmental projects in the 37 months of the Amosun regime. THE FRIVOLITY: It is not surprising that Kawonise would not admit or reveal that out of the 36 states of the country maybe 3 if not Ogun State alone pays the minimum wage to its Local Government workers!!! This will automatically take toll on their allocation to the extent that the State government pays N25m to local governments monthly to augumet its operations. It is not also suprising that Kawonise will never reveal here that they left backlogs of unpaid pensions and gratuities both in state and local government to the tune of over N8bn which this government is clearing in conjucntion with the local governments and seriously taking its toll of the allocations. Kawonise will never give kudos to this present Government for growing the IGR from N750m which they left it to over N4bn in 3 years which has created alot of cushion and balance in the state finances and programmes. THESE ARE THE FRIVOLITIES IN THE STATEMENTS MADE BY OGD God bless Ogun State #AMC Ogunpola Damilola Damochee
