Good read for anyone, especially healthcare workers. WE must understand why decisions are being made. This legislation is why healthcare organizations are having to merge together to remain afloat. Yes, this does make HCOs accountable to provide high quality, APPROPRIATE, and patient/family centered care, but at what cost? Rural hospitals are closing their doors. Jobs are being lost. Medical providers are losing their scope of practice. Zero accountability is placed on the patient (readmissions).
