We have 1,080 likes :) More rain and storms will move across the Coast this afternoon. Some of the storms could be strong with heavy rain, gusty winds and some small hail. Rainfall amounts could be 1-3 as the area of low pressure moves along the MS/LA Coast from the TX coast. Highs will be in the 50s. The rain and storms will continue through the evening hours and then taper off to just some light rain by midnight. Then we will have cloudy skies with spotty showers overnight. Lows will be around 50°. The area of low pressure will be east of us on Saturday and it will take the rain with it. However, we will have lingering clouds with some spotty showers over us during the day. Highs will be around 59°. Another area of low pressure will develop over the Western Gulf on Sunday and move to the east. This will send more clouds over our area and we will see some showers late in the day. This means the weather will be good for any Saints Tailgates you have planned. Highs will be around 61° on Sunday. Next week starts warmer and drier on Monday before a cold front moves through on Tuesday. This front will bring us a few showers Tuesday with highs around 70°. Then we will turn much colder on Christmas Even with highs around 58°, but we warm up on Christmas Day with highs around 66°. Today: Showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. High near 53°. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Tonight: Showers likely, mainly before 3am.
