Be blessed as u read through SINGLES’ CONFERENCE 2013: TOPIC:AWAKENING YOUR POTENTIAL ROM. 8:19 Awakening your potential is an important step towards divine lifting. AWAKEN – to rouse, the act of making from sleep; recognition/­realisation of certain abilities YOUR – shows possession; involves personalisation; “of you”, “for you”, “from you”. POTENTIAL – capable of being, but not yet in existence; capable of happening; having power, ab ility, capability of making something happen. SPIRITUAL ANGLE Potentials are God-given abilities at a rest point, yearning to be used, recognised and sharpened. They are supposed to be released. To fully awaken your potential, it will entail you doing it from God’s perspective. The quickening of the Holy Spirit is needed. Potentials tend to be dormant and stagnant; it’ll require rousing/quickening to awaken them. Engaging SELF only to awaken it might not yield result; but when we surrender to the Holy Spirit, vibrant power is released and maximum productivity is achieved. God-given abilities are given to you by God so you can use for Him and impart your generation. Aim for maximum productivity (enabled only by the Holy Spirit), do not aim for average performance (possible when SELF only is engaged). The thing that’ll differentiate your performance from others is the fact that you invited the Holy Spirit to kick-start yours. Acts 2: 2-4. Peter became a minister after he let the Holy Spirit back him up. The man that once denied Christ became bold enough to win souls for Christ! After discovering your potential, do not leave it at ground zero; awakening a potential does not stop at discovery. Your Holy Spirit induced potentials can take you to the pinnacle if you release yourself to God and be available for God to use and sharpen the potential(s). Sharpen the potential by devoting yourself to God, and also engaging in knowledge upgrade. Give yourself to skill acquisition – formal/informal training. If you do not do something creative differently, you can hardly stand out. Compete with yourself, not anyone else. Compare your performances over time to detect progress or regress. Be constant, be consistent. Keep working at it with the help of God. Now is the time for the awakening, sharpening and release of potentials into ultimate greatness
