Got a nice shot of adrenaline driving home from a business appointment tonight on a lightly traveled 2-lane road. Approaching the top of a hill I saw headlights coming from the other direction and dimmed my brights. The other car came over the hill and in a “this is it” moment I realized his brights weren’t dimming and that he was head-on in my lane and picking up speed. Whether he was asleep, drunk, or distracted texting, amazingly he refocused within 15 feet of impact and swerved back to his own lane. So, tomorrow I get to help people buy and sell homes and I get to kiss my wife and I get to tell my kids that I love them. Every moment’s a gift.
