Got to meet and play for the people of Georgia Straight Jazz Society on Thursday. Heartwarming to say the least! Lovely and welcoming audience and staff, great sound system and room, super organized, even an elaborate backdrop for the stage for a little inspiration. Its amazing what a dedicated group of music lovers can achieve, in this case bringing jazz from all over BC to a growing and appreciative audience in a local (and appreciative!) establishment. It would be great to have something like this in Nanaimo. There is a bit of a circuit developing on the island. That being said the B3 Kings are playing the Avalanche Bar and Grill - Courtenay BC Dec. 20. Sure to sell out, if not already.
