This is an exciting and rewarding public service position with excellent benefits and retirement options. 911 Dispatchers answer emergency calls for service from the public and dispatch police, fire, and medical units (while occasionally juggling monkeys and wrestling alligators while talking on the phone and radio simultaneously to 8 different people in 6 different locations, something close to that anyway).
