Group Input Needed: I have filed a petition with the court to decrease my monthly child support obligation to my ex-N who has sole legal and physical custody of the children. His wife doesnt work and sits at home all day, while my children are at school. She also has gotten 1 dog and 2 cats, which I also feel like I am supporting. There are also a few other factors/reasons why the child support should be decreased: my actual income, my children are no longer in private school but public school, and the birth of my child from another marriage. My ex-Ns attorney has written to me to ask if we can work this out instead of going to court. I am happy to get this email, and look forward to working with her rather than going to court, but in crafting my response, I would just like to get your input on how to proceed cautiously and smartly. Any input you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
