Group Members and Friends: Guyana Aid Region One, Inc. (GARO) held its rescheduled Annual Meeting on Sunday, September 7, 2014. There being a quorum, voting for members of the Board of Directors (the Board) were in full force. It is my pleasure to announce the results of the election of the Board of Directors for the period beginning September 7, 2014. President - Mr. Kaeron Jones Vice President - Ms. Ovril (Penny) December Treasurer - Mr. Derek Braithwaite Assistant Treasurer - Ms. Marcia Ghanie Secretary - Ms. Jennifer Valenzuela-Horatio Assistant Secretary - Ms. Marva Alman We welcome three new Board members, Mr. Kaeron Jones, Ms. Ovril December and Ms. Marcia Ghanie. President Kaeron Jones thanked outgoing President, Mr. David Correia and members of the 2013-2014 Board for their contribution and leadership during such period. Special thanks to the Inspectors of Election, Ms. Kerry Ghanie and Mr. Rapheal Ghanie for conducting the voting process in a professional manner.
