Grow Up Trinidad... I believe some of these Caribbean Governments are creating an unnecessary fear for their citizens with regards to Ebola and contributing to all the paranoia for no good reason. So Trinidad and Tobago blocked a cargo and passenger ship from docking in the island because on Sept 13 it stopped in Congo and on September 23 it stopped in Ghana. Withstanding the fact that both of those countries are ebola free and have not had any recent ebola cases , Trinidad must know that the ebola incubation period is 21 days, so had anyone on that ship had the virus following its September 23 stop in a country that does not have the virus, they would have been very sick or dead by now. What is even stranger is that Trinidad welcomes dozens of flights from the US and Europe every single day and I doubt they have full details on all the countries the particular aircraft coming to its shores with those flights would have visited over the past month as part of their schedule. What Trinidad is sadly doing is lumping the entire Africa into one basket and thats sad. This is an island that has at least 50 of its citizens fighting with the terrorist organisation Isis in Syria and Iraq. Should the rest of the world now shun every Trini because 50 are now in the company of one of the most brutal terrorist groups of late. Trinidad also has one of the highest murder and crime rates in this part of the world. 319 murders and counting for this year, over 400 murders last year...hundreds of robberies and kidnappings...Should all Trinis be held accountable by the rest of the world for the actions of those who went foul of the law...Should countries start denying them entry because they from Laventille? Oh come on..Grow up Trinidad. Do your monitoring, Protect your citizens but at least appear to be smart while doing so.
