Guys, go see Monuments Men. If you have any love of Art History or World War II movies from the 60s, youll absolutely adore it. It skates the line between charming and emotional in that way that only movies set during World War II seem to be able to pull off. The cast is fantastic, particularly Hugh Bonneville and Jean Dujardin. And Bob Balaban. And Cate Blanchett. And, everyone, actually. Bill Murray. The critics Ive seen on Rotten Tomatoes trashing it and most of them are just plain wrong. Dont listen to anyone badmouthing the movie. Clooney did a fine job of capturing the spirit of those 60s war films and evening them out with an elegant and contemporary sheen. Yes, it sets out a mission, assembles a team, and then completes the mission, which is standard 60s war film fare, but it does it in a way that blends it together better for the audience of today. And I even shed some tears at a few spots. youtube/watch?v=CreneTs7sGs
