They are going to do tests on her blood, bones, and lymph glands to see if it has spread. She will have surgery in January to remove the kidney. JUST A THOUGHT Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them Romans 12:6 ESV As we drove to the clients office, I was dreading what lay ahead. I just felt that the job that we were setting out to do was going to take all day because it involved a network of machines that I knew to be temperamental and tended to work when they wanted. And normally it would have, but not this day. Within thirty minutes, I had fixed the computers and we were on the way home. The mountain of work had all seemed very easy, almost too easy… almost like they fixed themselves. The grace of God was on me. Grace is the unmerited (unearned, undeserved) favor of God. It is like oil in an engine. Grace makes things go smoothly without friction. When the Lord told Paul: “My grace is sufficient for thee (2 Cor 12:9)”, He was not kidding. It truly is. If you have ever had something fast-tracked in your life, this was probably the grace of God. His unearned favor on your life. When you have to face that thing that you dread, pray for the Lord to come with you and give you the grace to do it. He delights when you invite Him into your life and the thing of dread can be fun, simple and easy. JOHN 16:33 33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.
