HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM DHI & SONG OF THE SOUTH I decided Id kill two birds with one stone. First, to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving from Myself, Todd, Jeremy, Brer Bear, Brer Fox and Brer Bear (and Hank Porter, see David Lesjaks great piece about Porter below in another Thanksgiving post). Also, seems like the various hot topics surface every three or four months (recently we went through another Walt the Anti-Semite thread), so why dont we go ahead and launch the Why Doesnt The Disney Company Release Walt Disneys Song of the South on DVD??? thread/controversy! Our Facebook page has been a great place where Disney historians, scholars and enthusiasts have civilly (and intellectually) discussed these issues that are important to all of us who are enthusiasts of Walt Disneys creative legacy. So be polite please, and have at it--although I suspect I am preaching to the choir here, as I imagine most want this film released, which is of course my opinion, but I am the first to admit there are some issues to be discussed in doing so.
