HELMET OF SALVATION-Hebrews 5:8-10:Helmet is a head protective covering which is mainly used by motorcycle riders in Nigeria and also by military guys when there is war or battle.Unfortunately,motorcycle riders in this country find it difficult to wear.Even those who wear it sometimes wear something else under it which doesnt give any protection to head.Sometimes when I climb a motorcycle I just discover that as we approach a traffic warden the bike man just put one broken material on his head calling it helmet and soon as we pass the traffic warden he removes again.What a country where people are arrested for their own safety.Similarly,the Helmet of Salvation protects the head,where all thought and knowledge reside.Jesus Christ said,If you hold to my teachng,you are really my disciples.Then you will know the truth,and the truth will set you free.(John 8:31-32),the truth of salvation through Christ does indeed set us free.We are free from vain searching,free from the meaningless temptations of this world,and free from the condemnation of sin.Those. Who reject Gods plan of salvation battle against Satan unprotected and may suffer the fatal blow just as anokadaman who fails to use the helmet and is involved in an accident and hitting his head on the tarmark or stone.The Helmet of Salvation to protect our thoughts and mind is a crucial piece or armor.We cannot survive without it. If you have not been saved,you are not safe.Lord help me to wear firmly my helmet of salvation in Jesus name.
