HELPING CONTRACTORS Many times in life when you help another person just because they need it instead of helping them in the hope of getting something out of it you wind up reaping some of life’s best rewards. Despite what many people think contractors and subcontractors have a hard time of it in construction. They can work like dogs and at the end of the year still owe their suppliers and Uncle Sam a small fortune. Everyone thinks they are making a fortune and in truth most of the time they are struggling to just make payroll. Nothing is easy and even giving it 100% and fighting all the way guarantees nothing. The graveyard is full of hard working contractors and subcontractors. If you know a contractor or a subcontractor who is not driving around in a ROLLS- ROYCE and flying around in your private jet [which most aren’t] give some serious though to helping him by recommending THE BOOK OF ELM COMMON SENSE SUBCONTRACTING WITH ELM JOB COSTING by Ron Pestone. In contracting the problem is that the guys and companies who would most benefit from a book that could really help them are the last ones to think about securing a copy. They need help getting on the right path and the individuals most qualified to help them are the real business professionals and networkers out there. I ask all business professionals and networker to take a few minutes and go to Amazon or Barnes & Nobel or Books A Million and take a look at THE BOOK OF ELM COMMON SENSE SUBCONTRACTING WITH ELM JOB COSTING by Ron Pestone and if you see its merits tell the contractors or subcontractor you know about it. You would be really helping them. And as the old commercial says, “It’s the right thing to do.”
