HGGC supports 19 less privileged families in Silahlilwe (Bethlehem) On Saturday the 20th September 2014, Apostle Samuel Raboteng and HGGC outreach team took part in a charity event in a shanty town, Silahliwe Ward 5 (Bethlehem). They donated new bibles, clothes, school necessities and groceries to 19 families. Among others Mr. Mokoena Dikotsi; the 84 year old man receiving pension grant and living on his own, was also one of the people who had special and sensitive cases. At his age, Mr. Mokoena lives alone in a very small shack that barely accommodates him with no one to look after him. The team spring cleaned his house, bathed him into new clothes and cooked for him. He also received a home makeover when the team replaced his rags with new house fittings including a bed, blankets and kitchen utensils. The other touchy story was that of two orphans also staying in a small replacement shack after their main shack burned down with all their valuable belongings. Lucky (24) and Sibongile (16) Motsoeneng do not get orphanage grant or any other means of income except for when Lucky gets menial piece jobs of a handy man. They have a little sister (8) living with a relative in Lindley. The settlement comprises of people who are disabled, very poverty stricken, unschooled and overcrowded in small shacks. Man of God Apostle Samuel Raboteng got so touched as he prayed for sick people and the living conditions that the people in this community stay in. The HGGC outreach team held a prayer, praise and worship session and addressed the people in Silahliwe. Those who give to the poor will lack nothing (Proverbs 28: 27)
