HILLSIDE HELPS-“ …And His eyes were as a flame of fire.” (Rev.1:14b) God sees and knows everything. There is nothing that happens in His creation that escapes His knowledge or vision. “He that planteth the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He see not?” (Ps.94:9) God is ever watching our every motive and movement. He hears every word thought and spoken. His X-ray vision penetrates through everything without any restriction. What deed done in the darkness of sin cannot be hidden from the Lord God. One may call himself or herself “getting away with” certain thoughts or actions, but be warned, you will have to give an account to the Righteous Judge. “For as it is written, As I live saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” (Ro. 14:11-12) Therefore we must live the life God has given to us, for His glory and praise. We must be holy, for He is holy. This holiness is not from the flesh, but through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. Godliness comes through the indwelling Holy Spirit that bears the precious fruit of Christ’s character in us. There is no means possible to avoid the “eyes like unto a flame of fire”. When Christ comes to judge the world, He will have a day of retribution and judgment, wherein all sinners, dead and alive will have to stand before His throne. Today, be right and be real in your walk with the Lord. Understand the scripture warns us, “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” (Hebrews 4:13) Bro.
