HIS GRACE!!! Part 3 ◄Proverbs 3:34 ► He mocks proud mockers but shows favour to the humble and oppressed. James quoted this in; ◄James 4:6 ► Parallel Verses New International Version But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble. New Living Translation But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, God opposes the proud but favours the humble. English Standard Version But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” New American Standard Bible But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. King James Bible But he gives more grace. Wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble. Friend, we have been looking at this subject, the grace of God. Because In this kingdom of God, without this grace, we will be equal to zero! If Paul said, I can do all things through Christ Jesus! Philippians 4:13, he is saying that, I can do all things by the grace of God through Christ Jesus! Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Because there is an empowerment in Gods grace that can makes us to do all things by faith in Christ Jesus! All the inventions in the world today were released by God to children of God at one point or the other to do all we can see today! Jesus also said, any one that believed in Him, will not only do what He did, but will do greater! John 14:12. That is, I will release greater grace upon you to do greater things. Friend, But to enjoy Gods grace, you need to humble your self before God and man, dont see your self to be something, other wise you will become nothing! If there is a unique way God is using you, it is not you but Gods grace, dont see your self to be better than any other person, other wise you will run out of grace! May be you are gifted in one way or the other, you can sing, you can compose songs, you are a good organiser, you are a good teacher, you can preach in a unique way, in fact you are an orator with sugar quoted mouth! You can go on all musical instruments, in fact you are blessed, your business is booming, your work is exploding, you are receiving promotions and favour, etc. And because of your uniqueness, your head swells and begins to look at your self, not only that, you are looking down on others! You will soon run out of grace! You dont know that it is the grace of God that empowers you to be able to be what you are, and to do all these things? If you are proud, that grace will soon turn to grass! That was what happened to Lucifer, who later became satan, he was one of the three ark angels of God, he was in charge of music in heaven, with one third angels with him. All the angels of God in heaven honoured him, because of this he became so proud that he planned coup to overthrown God, he was over powered by the chief of defence staff in heaven call Michael and his one third hosts of God. Revelation 12:7-9 (NIV) 7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. And he and his hosts were driven to the world, and he turned to satan the enemy of God. And his angels were turned to demons. Also Isaiah 14:12-15 (KJV) says 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. You can equally read Ezekiel 28:11-19. Again,that was what happened to Nebuchadnezzar too! God made him in his days to be king of kings, with over a hundred and twenty nations under him, he thought he got this by his power, he started looking on to himself rather than God who made him to be what he was. He said, ...is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for honour of my majesty? Daniel 4:30. Then God turned him to herbivorous animal and was driven among men to the bush for seven years, God made him to ate grass like goat, and crawl with his hands, he was naked for seven years, in raining season, dry season, during winter, etc, until he realised that it was not by his power that made him what he was, but by the grace of God. He humbled himself and gave glory to God, and God restored him back to his throne! Read Daniel 4. Friend, you are what you are today by the grace of God, dont praise your self, and dont allow people to praise you! other wise you will go down! But when you see God as all in all in your life, He will give you more grace or greater grace, so that you can go from glory to glory, because God knows that the higher He takes you, the more you will gives Him all the glory! Dont arrogate any achievement you have made to your self or any man. God cant share His glory with any man! Dont say it is because I am a graduate, in fact, I have my master degree, because, I am intelligent, because I know people, because I am smart etc, that is why I am this or I am that, no! Dont be full of your self, so that you will not run out of grace! Outside the grace of God we are an empty barren, we are an ordinary piece of dust! That is why the bible says, whatever we have is given by God! ◄1 Corinthians 4:7 ► For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? Friend, the day you were born were you born with clothes on? Or were you born with money? Were you born with a certificate? Etc. No we were born naked! And you are that baby of yesterday! So what so ever you are today is by the grace of God. Many of our mates are no more, many died as a baby. Many died while they were in primary school. Many died in high school, many in the university! Many died while they were serving, many died when they started working, some when they married, some died when they want to give birth, some died through sickness! etc. But here we are today, not by our power, not by our might, but by the grace of God! In conclusion, two things kills grace, the first one is un repented sins, and pride. You need to come out of these, and the grace of God will locate you and make you. You may be nothing today, the grace of God will find you tomorrow and place you where you belong! Therefore, if you are not yet born again, repent, and come to Jesus now. He is the way, in case you are living in sin, divorce with it now, and receive the grace to live above sins, because the end of all things is near! Then dont look to your self any more, because you are what you are by the grace of God!!!! You are blessed!
