HOLIDAY CLUB - Adventure Cruise This year’s Holiday Club will run every morning from Monday 5 August to Friday 9 August in East Calder Church Halls from 10.00am to 12.30pm. This year we have a marine theme with the title being The Adventure Cruise. Through stories from Luke’s Gospel, the children will discover what it was like to have an encounter with Jesus. The team to run the holiday club is more or less complete. However, even if you have not been able to commit to be there during the week of the holiday club, there are jobs available. Decorate the hall - see below. Donate food or juice for the children’s snacks – there is a list available this morning in Church. DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES: 1) An established part of the Holiday Club is the review event held at the end of the week. You are all invited to this event on the evening of Friday 9 August in East Calder Church Hall, 7.00pm till 8.30pm. This event is an outreach opportunity to reach the parents of the children who have attended the Holiday Club and who do not attend Church regularly. For our own fellowship, it is an opportunity for fellowship. 2) The halls need to be decorated. We plan to do this on the evening of Friday 2 August. Your help would be appreciated. No previous experience necessary. See you around 7.00pm. Finally, remember that food list. It is on the right hand front communion chair at the front of the Church. 3) As you will all probably know by now, this year’s Holiday Club has a nautical theme. It is set on a cruise ship. If you have any items which would help us transform the halls at East Calder, we should appreciate a loan of these. Please see Andrew Coutts in the first instance.
