HOMESCHOOL P.E. TODAY AT 10:00 a.m. HOMESCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM AT FARMINGTON CIVIC CENTER Farmington, Missouri (August 5, 2013) – The Farmington Recreation Department is excited to offer a Homeschool Physical Education class at the Farmington Civic Center this school year. This class will for be for students who are homeschooled to fulfill their physical education requirements. This program will provide students with an opportunity to join other homeschooled students and learn a wide variety of team sports and large group games. Each month, students will focus on a new sport. The classes will begin on August 27, 2013 and will be held every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and will be taught by Karma Franklin. Karma has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a minor in Coaching, as well as Physical Education. She has coached volleyball, track, softball, and soccer. Laura Yates, Program Coordinator, says “The Farmington Recreation Department established this program to promote the development of overall physical fitness, while offering a fun learning environment.” For questions please contact the Farmington Civic Center at 573.756.0900.
