Had quite the scare today. Jadyn had a fever this morning. Gave her some Motrin and the fever went down. About 4 hrs later she was getting warm again but had fallen asleep so I took a quick shower before waking her up for another dose. Afterwards I came out and saw that she was still on the couch watching Mickey Mouse. I poured her out some Motrin and went to give it to her. She was wide eyed, not moving and spit bubbles were coming out of her mouth. At first I thought she had thrown up. But when I went to her she just lay there. I waved my hand in her face and panic mode went into full effect. She wasnt moving. I picked her up and she was like a rag doll. Her eyes were open but she wasnt there. I checked her breathing, it was shallow. I couldnt get her to acknowledge me. I called 911 and within 20 minutes we were at the hospital. Jadyn started coming out of it when we reached the hospital. Tests are still being done, but is is presumed that while I was getting her medicine ready that she had had a febrile seizure. Her temp had shot up to over 100 and was 104 by the time we hit the hospital. She is doing fine right now. On an IV and getting treated for whatever infection attacked her so quickly. Still running tests to see what really happened or what caused it. She should be out tomorrow and back home. This Dad has never been so scared! I was so in shock and scared that 4hrs later I finally broke down and cried! Please pray for our little trooper! I will keep you all posted!
