Halo The Master Chief Collection now works within the campaign, except for Halo 4s Legendary, which is still broken. They are also working on the Matchmaking issue (matchmaking is still broken though) and are releasing another patch on wednesday. I just want to adress some issues I personally have had during the time weve waited for this update (Without foul language this time because I am not angry right now, I am disappointed, I feel betrayed and exploited but I have just lost the will to care anymore. This is for the people who actually care about the game and what I had to put up with.) If you tell me to Quit whining because its surreal to expect a game to be perfect at launch I think youre rather arrogant. You have no clue what some of us had to put up with. I couldnt even start my game until 2 days later, it literally crashed every time, I tried uninstalling and installing (2 times, which took 17 hours), tried getting a new disc, tried to pray to the forerunners and that didnt work, so I gave up. Tried again at some point, then I noticed that Halo 2 was the only campaign I was allowed to play, would crash every time if I even touched the other campaigns, I read about Halo 3s weird region lock and switched my region to the UK, I could then play Halo 3 fine, but couldnt touch the other campaigns. They released an update that I had to download and then I could play all campaigns, however, they were plagued by achievements not being registered, not unlocking, checkpoints not saving, progress not saving, frame rate drops, AI just standing there doing nothing or running around in circles, random crashes at certain points in the game during cutscenes making you have to restart the entire game on legendary again because it wiped your save file. I then try to play multiplayer,it wont let me, at all. When I finally get into a game and get to play after what amounts to 3 hours of searching in different playlists, I get booted immediately because apparently the host of any matchmaking game can boot anyone at any time, making my game crash again. I try another playlist after painfully long waiting times only to end up in a game with 11 people against me, I try again and apparently my copy must have registered that I wanted to play custom games because when I searched for Halo 4 it put me in a matchmaking lobby, started the game without any timer and when I got in, the screen was split in 4 and I was controlling 4 people with the same controller. Yesterday I beat legendary on Halo 4, it didnt unlock the Lone Wolf Legend Achievement and do you want to know why? Because if you die too many times or take too long, it will register as you having played in co op, even though you did in fact play alone, meaning you have to restart the entire campaign over on legendary again. Skulls on Halo CE arent there in remastered mode, arent there on Halo 2 either, cant unlock anything, the terminals are there but you arent allowed to access them for some reason. So when you tell me to quit whining because I payed $60 for a broken mess that isnt even an alpha of what the game is supposed to be that will eventually be fixed, I have to ask, are you even thinking about what we have to put up with as gamers? Do you realise what corporate people have done to you if you expect and accept a game to be completely broken in this degree at launch? The Master Chief Collection (Bugs being adressed) Aliens Colonial Marines (Fixed) Watch Dogs (No plan on fixing issues) Advanced Warfare (PC) (Fixed, mostly anyway) Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3 fixed, 360 owners refunded) Battlefield 4 (PC) (Fixed) DriveClub (Fixed and offering free DLC as a compensation) Destiny (Fixed...mostly) Titanfall (PC) (Fixed) Elder Scrolls Online (PC) (Still Broken) They were all riddled with bugs during launch and this isnt just me saying it. It has been confirmed by thousands of people, even the companies themselves have acknowledged these bugs and issues. Bugs as many as these during launch is beyond unacceptable, in every regard and it needs to stop. I dont care if they are working on it, they released an unfinished product and that is not okay. Before I leave I just want to thank 343 for a couple of things. Thank you for promising us all 4 games untouched (even though you removed Spartan Ops, removed half of theater mode, ruined forge by only allowing one game mode, essentially making it impossible to create maps and game modes like custom made infection and grifball) when you knew that it would mean having issues that are game breaking. Thank you for blatantly lying during the livestream the day before launch saying that everything was running fine. Thank you for allowing us to pay $60 for the privilege of being part of your beta test. Thank you for showing me why you should never trust corporate people. Thank you for ruining a series I have loved since I was a kid. Thank you. *^Trilby^*
