Happy Birthday Ernie Watts ( born on 23 October, 1945). He has released Thirteen albums from 1972 till 2001. The first album ERNIE WATTS released in the seventies is The Wonder Bag on Vault Records. His Other albums include are Look In Your Heart, Chariots Of Fire, Musician. He plays saxophone (tenor, alto and soprano) and flute. He was singed to Quincy Jones, Quest Records. as a recording artist, in which he released three albums from 1982- 1986. He has played on many albums from artists like, Donald Byrd, Randy Crawford, Stanley Clarke, Quincy Jones, Gino Vannelli, Marvin Gaye, plus many others. Recently he has recorded a new Quartet West album with Charlie Haden, and also works with vocalist Kurt Elling, whose album Dedicated To You, featuring Watts, won a Grammy in 2010 for Best Jazz Vocal Album. In 2012, Watts once again teamed up to tour with former Johnny Carson band leader Doc Serverinsen in Severinsens Big Band as guest soloist. Watts primarily is featured playing the tenor saxophone. He tours Europe twice a year with his own Ernie Watts Quartet, and is often a featured artist in Asia, as well as in summer jazz festivals the world over. His record company Flying Dolphin Records produces his own music with his US quartet as well as his European band. GARY
