Happy New Year. I am trying to help a Chicago couple who have been on the streets for the last 2 months. They lost their employments and living space in a short time. Both have worked in the service industry. Justine is also a youth swim teacher and Matthew a musician. They are looking for a space with heat and access to toilet/bathing facilities until they can get back on their feet. they are fine with a basement, closet or garage and are willing to do manual labor in trade. They are looking for work but its a struggle once you are out on the street. They have lived in community/shared spaces before. They share our philosophies and have very respectful and gracious to their hosts. Unfortunately my lease prohibits guests for extended stay. If you know of a space,potential earning opportunities or just want to send them good vibes, feel free to reach out. Spaces in the city near public trans is best.
