Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 4:30 am, and my coffee is extra good this early LOL! However, my personality is not! When the going got tough, I got up extra early. This way I have more hours to sort through the changes I need to make, wasnt sleeping anyway LOL. Ive found in life that failure is the turning point for all people. You either rise above it or you succumb to it. I dont think that I am stronger than anyone else, I just think Ive come too far to settle for anything less than what I set out to do. But, I also know that GOD didnt set me out on this journey for no reason, in moments of failure you either pick yourself up and go on, or you turn back and give up. Ive often said that when weve been drug to the end of our ropes and were tired my ambition and my determination would drag us double that distance and back again, if it has to.... Well, my determination just kicked in. Ive taken my last ass kicking, this time I can say I led fit horses that were ready to run over, we still got beat. What bothers me is we still have excuses. Eliminating all excuses and rising above our failure is where we are. I feel sorry for those who work for me, this just got tough and I just got unforgiving. But, we didnt come to make friends. We came to put together a program made up of people who DO NOT have to be drug the extra mile, they go willingly. I have no room in my life for those who will settle, as I blanketed my horses last night and wrapped legs - I discovered one thing, greatness isnt something that comes from being given the opportunity it comes from what you do with it, and what youre willing to sacrifice. Ive given up everything for this, everything. Success in the beginning for me came easy, we won a lot right off the bat, and now its tough.... And weve found out exactly how bad I want it. Weve found that failure didnt beat me, it hasnt knocked me to my knees, its pissed me off and its made me come back swinging for the fence. I may miss, but when I connect I am sending this over the fence!
