Hattiesburg Clinic recently announced their third annual Rise & Shine Half-Marathon and 5K will be held at Hattiesburg Clinic on Saturday, April 5 at 7 a.m.. The event will benefit The Arc, a non-profit organization devoted to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2013, the run attracted over 450 participants and raised approximately $15,000 for The Arc. At this year’s event, there will be live entertainment at the start/finish lines, vendors will have merchandise for sale on-site, and massages will be available to runners after the race. Each participant who finishes the half-marathon will recieve a medal. Additionally, cash prizes will be given to first, second and third place winners of the half-marathon. Both the half-marathon and 5K will start/finish at Hattiesburg Clinic’s main clinic at 415 S. 28th Ave. in Hattiesburg.
