Haunted Egg Drop Challenge Challenge: Design a “spooktacular” container to protect an egg from a drop off the roof of Pinecrest Academy! Submit all containers to classrooms by October 17th. Challenge will begin at 8:30am and will proceed by grade level, beginning with Kindergarten. Dr. Buck and Ms. LeNeave will be dropping all eggs off the roof behind the MP Room, onto the lunchroom playground. Eggs that survive will be eligible to participate in the final contest. The final contest will begin at 6:00pm, at our Fall Carnival, on the lunchroom playground. Arrive promptly at 6:00pm to participate in the final contest. Official Rules of this contest: • You may work alone or in groups! Get your family involved! • Only one device per student may be entered. • Only raw eggs may be used. • You may not spend more than $15 on your container. • No motorized parts. • Nothing can be permanently attached to the egg. • Your container must be in free fall during the drop. No bungee cords or tethers. • Students must design and construct a container; commercially constructed containers are not allowed. • All entries must be clearly marked with student’s name and teacher’s name. • Students are responsible for getting their entry to the final contest that evening. • We reserve the right to disqualify any entries which pose a threat to the health of safety of participants. • Have fun!
