Steph scored her goal for a good but under-credited club in front of a crowd of maybe 95, in a good, but under-supported and certainly not cash rich, league. Had Eileen Gleeson, her manager, not chosen to have the game filmed, there might be no record of the goal. For it to have been seen by more than 200 people is near miraculous. But it was put up on youtube, and it became a world wide hit, and some of the biggest names in football have raved about it. Stephs goal doesnt have dozens of angles, slow motion editing or close ups to recommend it. Neither was Steph playing for teams with millions of fans, or powerful marketing engines to push her name.
