Have an embarrassing prayer request this Sunday morning. When we lived in Colorado Springs, we had a pretty good church that we called home. Then, when we moved to Clovis we also found a pretty good church family to join. And, again, in Misawa, Japan... None of these churches (we are the church) were perfect, but they felt like home and we loved the people. They were our family. But, weve been in Kansas for over 6 yrs now and we havent found that home church. Weve attended (at last count) over fifteen churches (yes, 15), including two Messianic congregations (which I LOVED, especially the music and the worship), and most are really good places to fellowship. We enjoyed the services, the people are friendly, there were one or two churches where we didnt enjoy the music as much as another one perhaps, but over all they are good churches preaching the Word...for the most part. But...we havent found that home church...and Im getting tired of hunting. About ready to just stay home and study Scripture on my own, but thats not Scriptural. Were admonished in Hebrews 10:25, Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. We need to find the local body of believers here in our area where GOD wants us and join them.
