Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfector of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. This is a wonderful story. Reminds me of how our Father God, will step down and help us. He did this by sending Jesus to save us from sin and hell. He doesnt want us to give up running on the narrow path that leads to life when we will inevitably face trials, the only thing he wants us to give up is the weight of sin so we can run the race with endurance and finish it!
