Hebrews 13:16 - Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. I recently found out a friend is in need. I don’t want to mention her name in public, but if you are serious about helping, you can contact me and I will give more details. I will refer to my friend as Jane. Jane and I share 37 bikers/friends so there’s a good chance that you know her. It’s likely that she is on your friends list as well. Recently, she went to school and got her license for truck-driving but cannot find full time work (only part time) yet she has posted on FB many times that she needs “full time” local work, and has looked diligently. I heard through the grapevine that her living conditions need improvement….this will be mostly hammer and nail work…… I don’t have all the details yet, but her mobile home porch is collapsing or already collapsed, the hallway floor (interior) has just about collapsed ...there are a couple leaks in the roof…..and there may be a few other things, but what bothers me most is that she has only one tiny refrigerated a/c window unit in the bedroom that keeps her cool. The rest of the mobile home is too hot…….so hot, that she stays in the confines of her bedroom, like a prisoner. She can’t cook food in the kitchen, something we all do. What we’re seeking are volunteers, used lumber materials and roof coating, carpet, etc…. Friends, we could knock this out in less than a day and make her life so much better. When I mentioned that I and two others were going to go look at the situation Thursday (Aug 8th), she broke down, she couldn’t talk …… it overwhelmed her. I will have more details after Thursday.
