Hebrews 5 OUR WORK IN LOVE God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. (Hebrews 5 v 10 - 12). Could this have been written about us? Has our work in love been shown as we help Gods people and continue to help them? I am sure it is, but as the writer to the Hebrews encouraged them, we need to make sure we do not give up on the work of love that we are doing. Sometimes we can feel very blessed by helping others, and at other times we can feel like there is no reward, or that we are being taken for granted. But whatever our response, lets keep at it. In the end it is God we are doing it for and he will reward us in the proper way at the right time. He wont forget. We are also told to watch what good things other people are doing to inspire us. Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. So lets be inspired by the works of others and keep on in our works of love for God, who will reward us in his good time.
