Helen Evelyn Borosewicz, 91 passed away Friday, March 28th at the Ladysmith Care and Rehab Center in Ladysmith. Helen was born on February 1, 1923 to John and Amelia Cabak of Hawkins. She was raised, schooled and spent most of her life in the Hawkins area. She and William Borosewicz were married on September 6, 1941. Together they raised six children on their dairy farm in the township of South Fork. In 1978, they moved to their new home in the township of Hawkins. She lost her husband, Bill on January 3, 1982 after 41 years of marriage. Helen loved the outdoors and was no stranger to hard work. Most of the farm work was without the modern convinces enjoyed today. She labored along side her husband on their dairy farm while maintaining a warm and comfortable home. Her cooking was fabulous and there was always something wonderful right out of the oven. She planted a huge vegetable garden and always seemed to find a few spare minutes to have a lovely flower garden. Her love for flowers could be truly appreciated by all who passed by her home in Hawkins. Her yard busted with color and fragrance as it was filled with a vast array of flowers, trees and plants from early spring to late fall. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, daughter, Marie (Duane) Biller, parents John and Amelia Cabak, brothers, William, John, Raymond and Andrew Cabak, sisters, Frances Droese, Mary Monusko, and Julia Bohrer, We are thankful for all the time we had together, the lessons of life she taught us, and for the unconditional love she gave. Survivors include son Robert (Carolyn) Borosewicz of Sumner, WA, daughters, Gloria Miller, Rogers AR, Jane (Larry) Hruby, Hawkins, June (Doug) Pavlik, Ladysmith and Joan (Emery) Heath, Jump River, 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren with twin great grandchildren coming soon, son-in-law, Duane Biller, Glen Flora and sister Josephine Zondlo of Minneapolis. Funeral services for Helen was held Monday, March 31st at St. Marys Church in Hawkins. She will be laid to rest along side her husband Bill, at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Hawkins. P.S. Her twin Great Grand daughters Elsie and Aspen Hruby were born on March 30th so she now has 26 great grandchildren.
