Hello Cleveland Facebook friends, My newest one-hour public television special, “The Holy Land: Israelis and Palestinians Today,” airs Sunday, September 7th at 2:00 p.m. on WVIZ/PBS ideastream® Channel 25. In this special we’ll carefully weave together both the Israeli and the Palestinian narratives by traveling together from Jerusalem to Bethlehem and from Hebron to Ramallah. We’ll also visit disputed settlements, the security wall, and refugee camps to give context to the persistent challenges facing this fascinating region. With the recent and tragic conflict in Gaza, this special is more timely than ever. I’m thankful public television has the courage and commitment to bring these complicated issues to our public.
