Hello FB Friends! Jenn Rainey gave you our wonderful update last night. Many of you have been asking when we get to come home. It will still be a little while, but not nearly as long as we have waited in the past. The longest phase, the phase with the Ministry of the Family in Nicaragua, is over. The next phase is the judicial phase which essentially involves presenting our case to a judge and then he/she will approve the adoption and print new birth certificates with our childrens new names. Our attorney should be presenting our case tomorrow and we will hopefully be going to pick up the new birth certificates early next week. That will complete the judicial phase. The final phase is the American Embassy phase. We must get Nicaraguan passports for the children (can be done in twenty-four hours), get medical exams/vaccinations for the children (can be done in one day), and then schedule and interview with the American consulate here, get the childrens visas approved and then pick them up on the closest Friday. After all of this is done we can come home. Again, these phases shouldnt take very long at all. Just wanted to keep everyone updated. I will have a more definite idea of when we are going home when I get the embassy interview scheduled. Please help us pray that we go before the judge on Monday!
