Job Description:Primary Skills: • Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a DB developer in Oracle 10g/11g environment as Senior Developer on large application development projects. • 4-6 years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Modeling & Conceptual Modeling, Logical modeling, Entity relationship diagrams. • Experience in Unix/Linux Shell scripting and Windows batch scripts, FTP and SFTP protocols and data transfer processes. •Experience in data modeling – using any industry standard data modeling tool. •Must have strong Oracle DB and PL/SQL application development skills and excellent knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Views, Materialized View, Cursors, FGAC, Flash back and XML features and writing complex SQL queries. •Able to tune SQL & Database by creating/using indexes, hints, analyzing the plans, materialized views, restructuring queries. •Knowledge about XML technologies, XML and XSD file structures and development of XML files using industry standard tools like Altova, Oracle and Informatica is desirable. •Knowledge and familiarity about the DBA activities is a plus. •Good Understanding of Data Warehouse and ETL methodologies/tools is preferred •Strong problem solving skills, interpersonal and communication skills. •Experience with Agile/Scrum very desirable. Responsibilities include: •Responsible for entire SDLC support as a senior developer including Requirement Analysis, Data Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Implementation and Post production Support. •Work with on-site technical liaison to perform design and development work. •Comply with the companies development methodology, design guidelines, coding standards, naming conventions, and patterns where applicable •Translate business requirements into technical design specifications and prepare necessary technical design document. •Data Modeling including Logical and Physical database designs. Design, create and maintain XML/XSD feed files for communication to Partners. •Perform Data Migration activities from legacy Systems and legacy data sources into newly developed application. •Good understanding and ability to create shell scripts/ Windows batch scripts for data management and data administration tasks on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. •Manage the FTP and SFTP processes for various data transfer processes. •Analyze and resolve various performance tuning issues in DB and ETL processes. Ability to restore data structures to a pre defined stage using Oracle Flashback query option. •Collaborate with UI technical development team members related to UI development and provide necessary backend support. •Create and/or maintain appropriate technical artifacts for system documentation. •Conducts unit testing and work with quality assurance team for QAT to ensure data integrity.
