Hello, Godwayans. I apologize for my absence lately due to recent life events. As Stephanie mentioned below, I am going to be in India for the next few months teaching children life skills through the arts. This opportunity has truly humbled me, mainly because I have been wrestling with the decision all summer. God has been gently and patiently prodding me, even despite my own doubts and fears. He has intervened through so many people and situations in my life, and I know this is the right decision. The fear is still there, but the peace of God is now stronger. Often times, I think we are resistant to change, even when it means experiencing the greatest blessings in our lives. Thats why God continues to relentlessly pursue us...because he knows that what He has in store will benefit us more than any of our own plans or present comforts. I often felt guilty for not jumping on the opportunity right away. Wouldnt that have pleased God more? But as Rick Warren says, God likes wrestling, because its a full-contact sport. While Im there, I will be posting as often as I can to bear witness to all God is doing in the world, even in the poorest corners of India. Although, I am sure that the people there will be an even bigger blessing to me than I could ever be to them.
